Dr. Nancy Taylor is a psychologist, psychoanalyst and life strategist specializing in helping individuals, couples, families achieve their deepest life goals and purposes. She is also available for group consulting and virtual psychotherapy. Known for her "no-holds barred," bold moves approach, she is a dedicated and sensitive clinician with a deep commitment to her clients. She maintains a private practice in Tustin and Long Beach and West Los Angeles, California.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno Dr. Taylor was among a select group of students who were the first trained in the then newly developing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an empirically validated mindfulness based therapy. In a quest to even further develop her understanding of human behavior and better be able to help people, she later went on to become a Psychoanalyst, graduating from the Newport Psychoanlaytic Institute. Dr. Taylor has a broad base of training and life experience which she brings to bear in assisting clients develop a strategy to maneuver through difficult times. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety and relationship issues, all of which can be common obstacles in achieving one's highest potential.
Dr. Taylor has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Empowerment and Stress Survival Strategies. She is a creative and innovative thinker whose work is psychoanalytically informed.
